Zika virus: A call to action for physicians in the era of climate change

In February 2016, the World Health Organization declared the mosquito-borne Zika virus to be a “public health emergency of international concern.”  Many people are wondering whether climate change is playing a role in generating this scourge.  They are turning to physicians and other medical professionals to answer their questions.  This editorial discusses the role of physicians at this pivotal time when climate change poses an increasing threat to human health and well-being. Download the editorial here.
