Bio:
Jagadish Thaker is a doctoral student in George Mason University's Health and Strategic Communication program. A postgraduate in English Literature from India, he has worked in PR, advertising, radio and related fields. He has also produced and directed two documentaries and a few PSM's. His research interests include Science Communication, specifically Climate Change communication, Behavior Change, Health Campaigns and Censorship studies. Jagadish is a Graduate Research Assistant on a National Science Foundation grant examining broadcast meteorologists' best practices to effectively communicate about climate change science. He recently had an abstract accepted at an international conference on climate change in Australia. Another paper on ONDCP’s anti-drug campaign that he co-authored was selected as top-student paper in forthcoming National Communication Association annual conference in San Francisco in November 2010.
