The Yale Project on Climate Change Communication, an initiative of The Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, seeks to elevate public discourse and encourage public engagement with climate change solutions. The mission of The Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies is to prepare new leadership and create new knowledge to sustain and restore the long-term health of the biosphere and the well-being of its people.

The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research addresses crucial scientific questions in the fields of global change, climate impacts and sustainable development. Researchers from the natural and social sciences work together to generate interdisciplinary insights and to provide society with sound information for decision-making.
The Weather Channel has been a round-the-clock source of weather information since 1982. The center formed a strategic partnership with the channel in Fall 2007 to work on projects conveying climate information to a broad public audience.
  For more than 40 years, the School of Communication at American University has delivered a strong professional education for undergraduate and graduate students, with a focus on public affairs and public service using the resources of Washington, DC.
  Climate Central is an independent, non-profit journalism and research organization. They are dedicated to helping mainstream Americans understand how climate change connects to them, and arming their audiences with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their future.
        The American Meteorological Society promotes the development and dissemination of information and education on the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences and the advancement of their professional applications. Founded in 1919, AMS has a membership of more than 14,000 professionals, students, and weather enthusiasts.
      The National Weather Association is a member-led, all inclusive, non-profit, professional association supporting and promoting excellence in operational meteorology and related activities since 1975.
   Founded in 1976, the American Association of State Climatologists is a professional scientific organization composed of state climatologists (one per state), directors of the six Regional Climate Centers and associate members who are persons interested in the goals and activities of the Association.
  The Cornell Ornithology Lab is a world leader in the study, appreciation, and conservation of birds. Their hallmarks are scientific excellence and technological innovation to advance the understanding of nature and to engage people of all ages in learning about birds and protecting the planet. 
  The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is an agency that enriches life through science. Their reach goes from the surface of the sun to the depths of the ocean floor as they work to keep citizens informed of the changing environment around them.
The National Environmental Education Foundation provides knowledge to trusted professionals who, with their credibility, amplify messages to national audiences to solve everyday environmental problems.
    Superior Watershed Partnership and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore worked with 4C in summer 2010 to conduct a survey of Alger County, Michigan before beginning an energy efficiency and sustainability education campaign. The report is available here.
