Maryland’s Millennials lead older generations in their certainty that climate change is happening, understanding of human causes, and concern over its effects. More than three-quarters of all Marylanders (77%) say they believe climate change is happening; 89 percent of Millennials say the same. A majority of state residents say climate change should be a high or very high priority for the General Assembly and Governor (55%), and they overwhelmingly support government involvement in protecting communities against the effects of climate change (75%).
