Amanda Borth

Amanda Borth is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication at George Mason University (GMU). Her research interests are driven by the question: how can we create space for open, collaborative decision-making in response to climate change? Amanda’s interest areas include stakeholder engagement, deliberative democracy, emerging technologies, and global environmental policy. Amanda is currently a Graduate Research Assistant with the Center for Climate Change Communication and a Graduate Lecturer for the Department of Communication at GMU. Her previous experiences include Project Coordinator for the Institute for Carbon Removal Law and Policy and Forum for Climate Engineering Assessment at American University, Washington D.C.; a museum educator at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum; and an intern on Captiol Hill. Amanda holds a BA in International Studies from American University, Washington D.C.
