Sophia Whitaker is a Social Media Manager at the Center for Climate Change Communication (4C). Her work with the Center includes social media analytics, web content management, and science communication. She is also a Research Scientist and Communications Specialist at George Mason University’s Virginia Climate Center (VCC) where she establishes the Center’s communications infrastructure and develops best practices to provide VCC’s stakeholders with relevant climate information. Outside of work, Sophia enjoys reconnecting with nature and expressing her creativity through dance. She received her BS in Meteorology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and her MS in Climate Science from George Mason University.
