Rachel McKay is a senior at Auburn University in Alabama. She is double majoring in journalism and global studies with a minor in sustainability. Her dream is to become an environmental and travel journalist working for National Geographic. Over the course of her college career, she has studied international PR in Spain, interned for a nonprofit in New Zealand that promotes sustainable construction, reported and written articles for her university's publications, and researched wastewater treatment and reuse in India. In her spare time, she enjoys running, gardening, taking pictures, and cooking new recipes. Through this internship, she hopes to encourage others to celebrate the planet's beauty and take action to protect it.
