Adebanke L. Adebayo

Adebanke L. Adebayo is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Communication at George Mason University. Her research interest is in public health communication related to maternal and neonatal health, social epidemiology, community engagement, intercultural health, death and dying, and global health equity. She is currently researching and actively raising awareness about the adverse effects of climate change on maternal and neonatal health in developing West African nations. Adebanke is involved in numerous community health engagements in Northern Nigeria. She is the student engagement coordinator for the Center for Health and Risk Communication at George Mason University.

Adebanke earned her Masters in Applied Speech Communication (concentration in health and interpersonal communication) and English Literature at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her Bachelor’s in English studies at Babcock University, Nigeria.
