Matt specializes in social psychology, survey research, and data analysis. His research interests focus on attitudes, emotions, social influence, and environmental communication. He has researched the effects of different emotions on environmentally responsible behavior including the extent to which positive emotion-based communications impact behavior relative to negative emotion-based communications. As a Postdoctoral Associate, he assists with survey research design, implementation, and data analysis. Matt received his PhD in Psychology from Claremont Graduate University and his BA in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
