Rochelle Davidson Mhonde

Rochelle Davidson Mhonde is a doctoral student in the Communication department at George Mason University, concentrating in health and strategic communication. Rochelle has over ten years professional experience as a project manager and communication consultant in southern Africa, focusing on human rights and social justice issues. Her research explores the ways applied communication science can be used to examine social-structural vulnerabilities to public health concerns, including climate change and gender-based violence, by developing and evaluating communication interventions that focus on community partnerships. Rochelle has received an MA in International Development from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, and an MA in Liberal Studies with a Graduate Certificate in Peace and Justice Education from Villanova University.
